چکیده:
Over the last decades, more and more attention has been devoted to nanotechnology and its applications in petroleum industry. Breakthroughs in nanotechnology open up the possibility of moving beyond the current alternatives for energy supply by introducing technologies that are more efficient and environmentally sound. However today nanotechnology is not a new technology, but its application in the petroleum industry is in the early stages of development. Maintaining wellbore stability is one of the most critical aspects of drilling, well completion and secondary recovery techniques where there is danger of deflocculating, dispersing, and expanding the swelling clays in the production interval, and thereby reducing the effective permeability. The present paper deals with the study of effect on some additives to drilling mud to prevent from swelling of clays, before absorb large amount of water. Although this is not proved yet, so the investigation in this cases will be useful.
